Use of this website
This website provides information about ShipCalc, a shipping widget app for Shopify. You agree not to misuse the site, interfere with its operation, or attempt to access systems without permission.
Use of the ShipCalc app
The ShipCalc Shopify app is offered subject to these terms and to the policies of the Shopify App Store. Your installation and use of the app constitutes acceptance of these terms.
ShipCalc is provided as a tool to help merchants display shipping rates earlier in the buying journey. ShipCalc does not guarantee specific business outcomes such as conversion rate or sales lift.
Merchant responsibilities
ShipCalc uses the shipping rates and store configuration already set up in the merchant’s Shopify store. Merchants are responsible for keeping their Shopify shipping profiles, rates, zones, product weights, locations, and checkout settings accurate.
Merchants are also responsible for choosing where the ShipCalc widget appears, checking that it displays correctly on their live theme, and ensuring their own store policies and notices comply with laws that apply to their business.
Theme app blocks and embeds
ShipCalc is designed to be added through Shopify theme app blocks and app embeds. Merchants should not need to edit theme code to use the app. If a merchant changes themes, duplicates a theme, or uninstalls the app, they may need to disable or remove ShipCalc blocks or embeds in the Shopify Theme Editor.
Subscription and billing
ShipCalc is offered through a paid subscription billed by Shopify on behalf of ShipCalc. New installs include a 14-day free trial. After the trial, the standard plan is $9.99 USD per month, or $99.90 USD per year. You can uninstall the app from your Shopify admin at any time. Refunds for unused time are not provided unless required by law.
If Shopify requires a merchant to approve, change, cancel, or re-approve a charge, the merchant must complete that step inside Shopify. ShipCalc does not collect app subscription payments outside Shopify.
Intellectual property
The ShipCalc name, branding, app code, website, and supporting materials belong to ShipCalc unless otherwise stated. You may not copy or reuse them without permission.
Acceptable use
- Do not use the app to attempt to access data you are not entitled to.
- Do not attempt to reverse engineer, disrupt, or circumvent ShipCalc’s functionality.
- Do not use the app for unlawful purposes.
Service availability
We work to keep ShipCalc reliable, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. From time to time the app may be unavailable for maintenance or due to issues at upstream providers, including Shopify.
Support
We provide support for ShipCalc installation, configuration, and app behavior. Some storefront display issues can depend on a merchant’s theme, third-party apps, or custom code, and may require reasonable troubleshooting with the merchant.
No warranty
The website and the app are provided as-is. We aim to keep information and quote results accurate, but we do not guarantee that every detail is complete, current, or error-free.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ShipCalc is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from your use of the website or the app.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the website or the app after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
